IV Education


PharMerica offers a wide range of IV educational programs, including a comprehensive 22-hour self-study course. Upon completion of this ANCC accredited program, nurses may attend a clinical practicum to discuss IV therapy in long-term care and receive hands-on instruction. PharMerica offers hands-on IV therapy instruction in the following areas:
  • Peripheral IV start
  • Midline and Central Line management
  • Infusion pump programming
  • Appropriate catheter use–PICC, Midline, Short Peripheral

PharMerica's IV education allows nurses the freedom explore infusion therapy with minimal departure from the facility.
